1. Welcome to Beauty Board
Welcome to Beauty Board, the home and hub for makeup artists, beauty creators and beauty lovers. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Beauty Board website, mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
2. Who We Are
References in these Terms to “Beauty Board”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the operator of the Beauty Board platform. Contact details are set out in the “Contact Us” section below.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Services and to agree to these Terms.
4. Your Account
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep your details updated.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login details;
- All activities that occur under your account;
- Not sharing your account with others.
You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised or used without your authorisation.
5. User-Generated Content
Beauty Board is a social platform where users can share content, including photos, videos, text, designs and other materials (“User Content”).
5.1 Your Responsibility for Content
You are solely responsible for the User Content you upload, post or share.
You confirm that:
- You own the rights to your User Content or have all necessary rights and permissions to share it;
- Your User Content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights of any third party;
- Your User Content complies with these Terms and any guidelines we publish from time to time.
5.2 Licence You Grant to Beauty Board
By posting or otherwise making User Content available through the Services, you grant Beauty Board a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for technical purposes such as resizing or compressing), distribute, publicly perform and publicly display such User Content in connection with operating, promoting and improving the Services.
This licence continues for as long as your User Content is available on the platform. You may delete your User Content at any time, but please note that some copies may persist in backups or in content shared by other users.
5.3 Community Standards
You agree not to post any User Content that:
- Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing or defamatory;
- Is hateful, discriminatory or incites violence;
- Is pornographic or sexually explicit;
- Contains extreme violence or graphic content;
- Contains spam, scams or misleading promotions;
- Contains personal or confidential information of others without consent.
We may remove or restrict access to User Content that we believe violates these Terms or harms the community, and may suspend or terminate accounts where appropriate.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or to other users’ accounts;
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Services;
- Use any automated means (such as bots or scrapers) to access or collect data from the Services without our prior written consent;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Services, except where permitted by applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services, including all content, features, design elements, logos and trademarks (other than User Content) are owned by or licensed to Beauty Board and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
You may not use our name, logos or branding without our prior written permission, except as allowed under applicable law.
8. Reporting Infringement and Abuse (Including DMCA-Style Notices)
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users to do the same. If you believe that content on the Services infringes your copyright or other rights, or violates these Terms (for example, harassment, abuse or privacy violations), you can contact us at: info@beautyboards.co.uk with:
- Your contact details;
- A description of the content and where it appears on the Services;
- A statement explaining why you believe the content infringes your rights or violates these Terms;
- Any supporting documentation (for example, proof of ownership).
We will review reports and, where appropriate, remove or restrict access to the content and/or take action against the responsible account.
9. App Stores and Third-Party Platforms
If you download our mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (each an “App Store”):
- These Terms are between you and Beauty Board, not with the App Store provider;
- The App Store provider is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the app;
- In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify the relevant App Store provider, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App Store provider will have no other warranty obligations with respect to the app;
- You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app (for example, your mobile data contract).
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not controlled by Beauty Board. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party site or service. Accessing any third-party link is at your own risk.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beauty Board and its directors, employees and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Services;
- Any conduct or content of any user or third party on the Services;
- Unauthorised access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content;
- Any other matter relating to the Services.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Beauty Board and its officers, directors and employees harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Services, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to the Services and These Terms
We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice.
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of any changes will constitute your acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
